Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency matters. Here is exactly how ReadPuppy earns money from product recommendations, what we will and will not do, and why you should trust the gear on this site.
We participate in the Amazon Associates program
ReadPuppy is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link from our site and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Every product is one we actually use
Gevorg O., owner of Boston Dogtor, has 17+ years of behavior modification experience and runs an active Board & Train program. Every product on our gear page is one he and his staff personally use, have used for years, or have tested on multiple dogs.
We do not recommend products based on commission rates. We do not accept payment from brands to feature their products. If a product is not on our gear page, it is because we either do not use it or do not believe in it enough to recommend it.
How we mark affiliate links
Every affiliate link on ReadPuppy is marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute as
required by Google and industry best practices. Affiliate links route through our /go/
redirector so we can track which products our readers find most useful — this helps us improve
recommendations over time.
What this means for you
You pay nothing extra by clicking our links. The price on Amazon is identical whether you get there via ReadPuppy or directly. If you buy something we recommend, we earn a small commission that helps keep the knowledge base free and the training content expanding.
If you would rather not go through our affiliate links, that is completely fine — just search for the product directly on Amazon. We believe in the products regardless of whether we get credit.
